Drivers and Specificity of Eco-Innovation in Poland – The Latest Research Results

Abstract:

The paper presents theoretical considerations and results of empirical research on the drivers and specificity of eco-innovation activity in companies in Poland. The diversity of the drivers and the results of eco-innovation activity are pointed out. An analysis is performed of the latest eco-innovation statistics obtained from the Community Innovation Survey 2008 and 2014 carried out in Poland. In addition, the findings of own research are presented, focusing in particular on the relationships between the importance that the surveyed companies attach to selected eco-innovation drivers and the specific results of technological eco-innovation activity. The results of multiple regression analyses made it possible to identify pivotal drivers of both the product and the process eco-innovation speed, number and quality.
