Abstract:
Modern world economy requires globalization, internationalization of economic ties, and increasing international economic integration. In such conditions, international capital in the form of investment became a key to success. This paper describes the main measures for state influence on investment activity, examines the changes in foreign investment in Russia, analyses the causes of current situation. It also describes credit ratings of the Russian Federation, changes in rating levels, main reasons for such changes, and investor confidence in Russian economy. These ratings reflect the balance of strong and weak aspects of Russia's creditability and vulnerability of the Russian Federation to external shocks, whether economic or geopolitical ones.
