Abstract:

E-Government is about harnessing the information revolution to improve the lives of citizens and the efficiency of the government processes. World governments are mobilizing huge amounts of resources to develop, implement and promote the use of e-Government. However, a majority of the governments are at initial or intermediary stages of e-Government developments. In this paper, we outline and discuss the ereadiness factors and strategies for e-Government adoption. Different stages of e-Government development are also briefly mentioned. The emphasis is on the assessment of readiness for, and implementation of, e-Government.
