E-Government: Stage Models for Successful Development

Abstract:

E-Government refers to the use of Information and Communication Technologies to enhance the access to and delivery of government services to benefits its citizens, business partners and employees. World governments are mobilizing huge amounts of resources to develop, implement and promote the use of e-Government. However, all governments are not at the same level of e- Government maturity. In this paper, we outline and discuss different models for e-Government development and propose a generic model based on the study of the available approaches. Ereadiness factors and strategies for e-Government implementation are also presented. The emphasis is on the stage models for e-government adoption.
