Abstract:
On a national and international scale of the civilian university education system, the early termination of university studies today is considered to be one of the series of monitored quality and performance indicators of universities that will influence the funding of a relevant educational institution. The paper discusses the basic parameters of the qualitative dimension relating to the early termination of studies, their fulfillment and influence on the development of the contemporary Czech military university system. The text has the character aof a descriptive and comparative study. Its aim is to answer the following research question: Are the reasons for the dropout of the military university the same as of other civilian universities? Using the content analysis of available documents and published outputs from already implemented quantitative and qualitative research of a given problem in the civilian and military environment, it has been found out that even in the military environment the reasons for the dropout of the study predominate over the reasons associated with the conditions of students´ military life.
