Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to assess the current state of knowledge regarding the circular economy (CE) in Ibero-American (SMEs), taking into account the objectives, methods, and results. A scoping review was conducted in the Scopus database (2018–2026), and the findings were organized using the SPIDER protocol. Seventeen documents were included, primarily from Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia. Qualitative and mixed-methods studies predominate. The main conclusion is that the transition toward the CE in SMEs is feasible when internal capabilities are aligned with appropriate regulatory and financial frameworks.
