Economic Security – Trade Unions

Abstract:

Trade unions are an organization about the particular legal status. They are being appointed in order to represent both the protection of the interests and laws of employees. It is possible to talk about the substantial role, the spontaneity and the commitment and the number of former trade unions already in the past tense. How they are showing the CBOS examination, only about the 7% of Poles is involved at present in trade unions. It is possible to seek causes of the weakening position of trade unions in the displeasure of citizens at their activity. Two thirds can't see Poles of positive effect of trade unions on the situation of employees.

Doctor Jan Czarzasty can see the following problems of Polish organizations of this type. One of them is an average of the age amongst members. The average trade unionist is approaching the fifty. It is hard to convince young people to join trade unions. The number is falling in all countries of Europe. Scandinavian countries are exceptions - where associations are administering funds with which people are insuring themselves against loss of the work - and in Great Britain. There next associations are conducting the thriving training activity, helping people to be found on the labour market.  At present trade unions in Poland aren't trade unions, but political quasi-parties in fact. Well paid leaders are becoming involved in a power struggle, and aren't dealing with tasks of trade unions. Some predict that it is possible to expect the reconstruction of the strong employee movement. One should treat the current crisis as the chance of being born of new trends in the move, rather than of him end.
