Abstract:

At the present time it is possible to follow up significant changes in customer behaviour in the process of making demand for particular goods. The use of information and communication technologies plays a big role in this process. The ICT brings significantly higher availability of information necessary to apply a purchase decision, and thereby also higher demand elasticity. This article analyses the development of IT use in regard to educational attainment of the citizens in the Czech Republic within the years of gradual manifestation of changes in educational structure of the Czech citizens, being a result of the educational system changes after 1990. In the line with it availability of ICT increased thanks to reduction of user price and increase in their disposable income. The crucial role in this development is played by availability of a mobile Internet connection. The result of the monitored development is a significant increase in ICT use for searching travel and accommodation information in the Czech Republic in the monitored period. This trend can be observed in all educational levels, mutually varying from one another. There were used regression and correlation analysis methods.
