Abstract:
Fires, escape of dangerous substances, floods, attacks, shooting, etc. are all extraordinary events that may occur around us. All these extraordinary events are associated with the stress that individuals are exposed to. Although the risk of occurrence of an emergency is well recognized by some individuals, they are unable to act and decide in such situations.
The aim of this paper is to elucidate the stress response of individuals in extraordinary situations with a focus on the occurrence of terrorist attacks in the world and in Europe, which are associated with high stress and panic, a large number of injured and dead people.
