Abstract:
The paper is dealing with damage or devastation of any part of cultural heritage resulting in its irrecoverable loss. Its keeping and preservation should be in public interest in every advanced country. Promptness, quality of support and response can effect significantly how fast and safe can items be salvaged in case an emergency or crises occur. Every institution should have a plan ready to response to various emergency cases before they occur. Not every emergency is predictable; however, the plan should permit flexibility to adapt to circumstances. Fortunately, there is growing recognition that planning is not managing. Complex protection-prevention procedure must involve a ´territory´ analysis which should respond to questions what-where-how can an emergency threaten lives (including animals), health and property. Evacuation is considered as one method how threatened items including animals can be saved using organized logistics. Emergency management should prepare, support and recover society when a disaster happens.
