Emotional Intelligence in the Work Performance of the Workers of the Unión Company

Abstract:

Emotional intelligence is essential for the job performance of employees in companies like Unión. Its development improves resilience, motivation and the work environment, reducing conflicts. The research, based on a bibliographic analysis and a descriptive-correlational study with 180 employees, reveals a significant positive connection between emotional intelligence and job performance (r = 0.92, R² = 0.8512). Employees with higher emotional intelligence approach challenges with empathy and personal control, which promotes collaboration and creativity. These results show that emotional intelligence, drive, performance, inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit are essential for company culture, productivity at work and decision-making, in addition to improving stress management and adaptability.
