Abstract:
Many research on innovation process assigns to cooperation a decisive role in achieving the innovational performance. The innovation is a complex process that requires the participation of the various economic actors interested in its results, such as enterprises, research organizations, input suppliers, customers etc. In this regard, the paper seeks to answer the question: What is the influence of the cooperation relations in the innovation process on the innovational performance among EU member countries? For answer, an empirical research was carried at the 28 member states of the European Union (UE28) using the information available in Eurostat statistics. Research methodology is based on correlation analysis and analysis of the multiple linear regression. The results confirm that a high level of cooperation in the innovation process has a positive impact on the innovation performance and highlights the most efficient types of partnerships that can be established to increase the performance of the innovation activities at the EU level.Â
