Empirical Verification of Knowledge Management Initiatives as Determinants of the Development of Knowledge Workers’ Creativity

Abstract:

The article discusses the issue of knowledge management initiatives in knowledge-based organisations with particular emphasis on their effects on the development of creativity in knowledge workers. The first, theoretical part of the article presents selected concepts related to the subject of knowledge management in knowledge-based organisations, including the issue of knowledge management initiatives and their role in the development of creative attitudes of knowledge workers, and describes the categories that apply to them. The second part discusses research conducted on selected knowledge management initiatives and their relation with and impact on the creative attitudes of knowledge workers. The research results obtained allowed setting out guidelines for selected knowledge management initiatives which will also serve to develop the creativity of knowledge workers.
