Abstract:
Industrial revolution 4.0 is invading the whole world including Malaysia and it is basically different from the previous one. The forth Industrial revolution have causes to wide-ranging disruption to labor markets (World Economic Forum, 2016). Most occupations are undergoing a fundamental transformation through the adjustment of entire industries (World Economic Forum, 2016) where part of the jobs are vulnerable due to replication and others develop rapidly, while existing jobs are undergoing transformation in the skills sets required. It is estimated that due to the forth industrial revolution together with other demographic and socio-economic changes will cause to lost of more than 5 million jobs in 15 major developed and emerging economies (Cann, 2016). The figure below are the Net employment outlook based on job family from 2015-2020 in the countries of Mexico, India, Australia, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy, Japan, South Africa, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) – including Malaysia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Turkey, France and the United States. There are 2 million total gain of jobs in few smaller job families and 7.1 million total loss of jobs where two thirds sources from the Office and Administrative job family (World Economic Forum, 2016).
