Employees’ Knowledge in Employment Act 1955 and Level of Commitment towards Organization

Abstract:

Due to lack of awareness among employees on their rights stipulated under Employment Act 1955, many employers have taken advantage on the employees and in some cases, this leads to exploitation of workers. Majority of employees are found to have limited knowledge in Employment Act 1955. The importance of such Act in protecting their rights is often overlooked at the time where securing the job immediately and signing letter of acceptance for employment are urgently required. Zero knowledge in Employment Act 1955 often leads to dissatisfaction and disputes at work, and such phenomena affects employees’ commitment at workplace.
