Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to identify additional areas of employment quality and to present their characteristics for Poland. The layout of the paper is dictated by the implementation of the objective. The first part introduces the subject matter of employment quality. The next part describes results obtained for Poland from research focused on 4 areas of employment quality, i.e. safety in employment (including: work in hazardous conditions and accidents at work); equality in employment (including: access to employment, vertical segregation, inequalities in remuneration, wage gap, discrimination, mobbing); employment guarantees (including: type of contract, employment in temporary employment agencies and being self-employed and working for one client only) and work-life balance (including: working time and work-life balance). The presented results show that companies in Poland face a number of challenges in terms of improving employment quality.
