Abstract:

In this paper we try to answer a simple question: is the Romania’s population energy poor or energy deprived? In our opinion, the energy poverty is given mainly by the country’s endowment with primary energy resources, by the consumption patterns and lack of urge to be efficient, while energy deprivation is induced by wrong economic/social policies.
