Enhancing competitiveness among small medium enterprises(SMES) in Yogyakarta special region through training policy

Abstract:

This research aims to identify and set training policy which should be conducted for SME. The main issue that will be proposed is the training setting of SME which is appropriate to enhance their competitiveness. The qualitative approach is used in this research began with capturing the underlying factor of conducting training for SME in Yogyakarta, the progresses and effects toward their business. Furthermore, using the concept of seven competitiveness pillars, this research suggest that training program should be based on weakest pillar(s) that essentially depicts the actual capabilities of SME in competing in the market. The expected outcome in long-term is setting training should give greater impact on sustainability of the level competitiveness of SME in Yogyakarta Special Region.
