Abstract:
As the demand for organic products grows globally, ensuring consumer trust remains a critical challenge, particularly in emerging markets like Morocco. This study investigates how certification processes, information transparency, and digital innovations can foster trust and drive consumer adoption of organic products. By examining the perceptions and experiences of Moroccan consumers, this research aims to identify key barriers to trust (e.g., lack of clear labelling, misinformation) and propose actionable strategies to enhance credibility and accessibility. The study highlights the importance of leveraging technology—such as blockchain-based traceability systems, QR codes, and mobile apps—to provide real-time, verifiable information about product origins, certifications, and quality standards. Additionally, it explores the role of local regulations and international collaborations in strengthening the integrity of organic labels such as "Bio-Maroc."
