Abstract:
This study investigates how mobile technology can be used to enhance learning experiences in college settings. With the growing influence of wireless networks and mobile technology in contemporary networked economy and education systems, this research investigation could help contribute to better understanding of how traditional teaching practice could be improved with emerging technologies. Derived from a teaching case analysis evolved over two semesters, the findings suggest that the students were particularly impressed by the mobility of tablet PC used in the teaching case. Graduate students demonstrated a noticeable higher learning satisfaction and expectation of better learning and future use of technology. The implications suggest that incorporating mobile technology into teaching practice is expected to provide students with better learning atmosphere and experiences. Other lessons learned for business vendors and instructors are also provided.
