Abstract:

This paper presents basic concept of method SMED and it also describes the benefits of the implementation of SMED to production lines. The paper describes the benefits of enlargement SMED method to production lines as it is demonstrated on case study that has been realized in real production company by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, University of West Bohemia.
