Abstract:
The article is devoted to the consideration of the problem of ensuring the food security of the Russian Federation. This problem is extremely relevant for modern Russia in view of the economic sanctions imposed against it. The authors note the great importance of food security for the national security of the Russian Federation. Given the importance of legal mechanisms to ensure security, the authors as the purpose of their study identified the analysis of the current state of legal food security of the Russian Federation. Within the framework of achieving this goal, they analyzed the legislative framework devoted to ensuring food security, identified structural elements of food security, considered threats to food security of the Russian Federation. The authors pay attention to the objective difficulties of ensuring food security in Russia. In particular, the problem of the imperfection of the legal mechanism for ensuring food security, which is, in their opinion, one of the most important. According to the results of the study, it is concluded that the Russian legislation in the regulation of these issues, the declarative nature of many legislative provisions, the imbalance of legal regulation in the field of quality and safety of goods and services in the direction of preferential guarantee of the safety of goods to the detriment of their quality.
