Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation Approaches and Business Processes Performance: An Integrated Model

Abstract:

Nowadays organizations are seeking to improve or sustain their competitiveness in the increasingly challenging global marketplace. To achieve these competitiveness goals, the organizations become using information systems as tools to increase effectiveness, improve customer satisfaction, decrease cost, increase flexibility, and reduce cycle time. The aim of this paper is to present a conceptual framework of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation Approaches and Business Processes Performance Measures, based on analysis of various models presented in ERP Implementation Approaches and Business Processes Performance Measures. The main emphasis was focused on the concept of ERP Implementation Approaches (Agile, Big Bang, and Hybrid) and Business Processes Performance Measures, which are (Time, Cost, Quality, and Flexibility). Therefore, this paper contributes to develop three models: ERP Implementation Approaches, Business Processes Performance Measures, model, and ERP Implementation Approaches and Business Processes Performance: an Integrated Model. The paper will describe more valid factors to identify how organization deals with ERP Implementation Approaches in the future. It also provides advice for the Information Technology (IT) Industry as to how an analytical Integration between ERP Implementation Approaches and Business Processes Performance Measures.
