Abstract:

The main purpose of this paper is to provide an entrepreneurial perspective upon one of the most aggressive issue that Europe is antagonising with: the waste and waste management. Based on the current situation and statistic analysis, European citizens and industry really produce huge quantities of waste and the environment could no longer face these amounts. The research question is whether there is potential for business manifestation in the area of waste management and waste packaging in order to reduce the quantities of waste and the quantities of litter? The paper identifies the possibilities for entrepreneurial manifestation in the area of waste management, from the deposit system perspective. Added value of the paper is given by the very pragmatic approach of the paper which allows practitioners to act in the way the paper describes and gives the opportunity to all stakeholders in the area of waste management to interact and together develop further activities and business.
