Abstract:
Attitude towards entrepreneurship, interest to valorize the exceptional scientific training, innovation, research skills and competencies acquired during doctoral stages within entrepreneurial own firm, should be a leading concern in the design of economic and education policies. In addressing this concern and capitalizing other similar approaches in the literature, we have developed a research based on a survey conducted in January 2012. This paper aims to present and further explore the results of this study, by emphasizing Romanian doctoral students’ attitudes and actions already undertaken concerning issues such as: entrepreneurship as an alternative in future career, interest in business start-up, existing entrepreneurial background, sincere understanding of entrepreneurship realities, personal determinants related to entrepreneurial approaches. There are also presented concluding remarks and further recommendations.
