Abstract:
The paper entitled entrepreneurship as a model for alleviating economic inequality, through a single case study approach to a home business camp (HBC) in the Cooperatives service, SMEs, Manpower and Transmigration of Yogyakarta City. The study aims to determine the extent of entrepreneurship model with a youth focus can reduce economic inequality in the city of Yogyakarta. Although the HBC program began in 2014 and until the end of the research, the HBC has reached the sixth generation, but this research deliberately determines the specific population of the first and second batches, on the grounds that the first and second batch participants have been running their business between four to 5 years, so it is feasible to do evaluation. The research limitations, although the research carried out for two years of this research still has weaknesses, it is recommended that ftuther research focus on the success rates of HBC members, and the impact on the surrounding community with information from members of the first to the sixth generation of HBC, so the results of this study are able to become role models for the other regions.
