Abstract:
The problems of the sustainable development of the transport system are currently very important and often analyzed. It is about promoting transport that is efficient, cost-effective and meets the expectations of society. At the same time, such transport should minimize its negative impact on public health, the environment, the economy and urban planning.
The aim of the article is to present the possibility of using scenario analysis in a model simulation and to show the impact of the implemented changes on the functioning of the urban transport system and its impact on the environment, based on the TROLLEY project. This goal can be achieved by continuous improvement, modernization of transport and searching for new solutions [8]. These activities concern, among others use of municipal rolling stock powered by alternative fuels. Taking into account selected aspects of the development of sustainable transport systems and their assessment on the basis of their negative impact on society (amount of pollution and noise emissions).
