Abstract:

The innovation gap in Europe has been expanding despite increased efforts at national and EU levels. Spreading excellence and widening participation in research constitute the key objective, which is implemented by means of various funding sources, among which Teaming and Twinning. The University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest Romania has accessed two EU initiatives in order to enhance visibility of its academic research. These are, on the one hand, the Horizon 2020 ENHANCE Project, developing throughout 2016-2018, and, on the other hand, the ERA Fellowship 2016 German Government Grant for the European Research Area; the outcomes have proved beneficial and mutually stimulating for the targeted scientific community. The current study explores the results and the directions to pursue in this activity.
