Abstract:
Studies on the macroeconomic policy committed in the post-communist countries are becoming more and more important in the area of communication studies in the Western scientific literature. The main questions of these analyses concern the range of this phenomenon and the current consequences for the social, cultural and psychological life of societies and individuals. It has already been over 30 years since the system transformation began in post-communist countries, i.e. the process of transition from a centrally planned economy to a market economy. Opinions among economists regarding its course, effects and costs are divided. The aim of the article is to present the positions of economists towards the method and effects of the systemic transformations. Therefore, a qualitative method was used in the research, and the tool used during the research was an interview with the Polish economists. Attempts were made to present both opinions uncritically accepting the course and effects of the transformation, as well as those critical of its development and consequences, without judging who was right. The results on the topic have indicated that this issue is in a mature phase.
