ESD Model Development in Indonesia

Abstract:

The ESD concept developed by the United Nations should be able to encourage students' skills, perspectives and values ​​for a sustainable future. The purpose of this research is to develop an existing ESD model and combine it with the authentic experiences concept to produce an ESD model that is adapting to the values ​​and wisdom of the implementation of education in Indonesia. The ESD model developed in this research is a hypothetical model in which the development of the ESD model in this research based on the ESD model developed previously by Shohel and Howes. The results obtained from this research are the ESD model produced by combining the components of the school, ESD awareness circle, local wisdom, service-learning, community engagement, and evaluation. In the future, this model is expecting to be a basic model for sustainable development education that involves local wisdom in Indonesia.
