Abstract:
The goal of this paper is to evaluate interactive learning material according to the use of HCI principles. The interactive learning material was designed for an undergraduate module at the North-West University (NWU) using the design science research (DSR) framework. Old-fashioned paper-based study material was transformed into interactive learning material during the design process of the interactive artifact. As part of the evaluation phase of the DSR framework, the interactive learning material was assessed by its users. This paper reports on the feedback obtained from the users and aims to highlight HCI principles which can be used as guidelines when designing interactive learning material.
