Evaluating Technologies for the Development of an Open-Source Component-Based Educational Software

Abstract:

The current social distancing context of COVID-19 makes a huge impact on the way people are living. Systems and procedures are forces to move into online to be able to continue. The educational system makes no exception. This paper proposes to find the best tools for implementing open-source component-based educational software by evaluating the most popular web frameworks that are structured on the concept of component development. To achieve this goal, this paper identifies and analysis different evaluations of the three chosen frameworks through a two-step selection process. As a result the evaluation criteria and the winner highlighted by the authors are emphasized in a table that can be easily used in future decisions.  As a result, the paper offers an overview of the way the chosen software tools are seen in the market with the recommended utilizations.  It also proposes one of them for the development of open-source component-based educational software.
