Abstract:
Cereals have a large proportion in human and animal consumption, and fluctuations in cereal production affect prices, producers and consumers. The article aims to analyze the evolution of agricultural production and areas over ten years, during the period 2007-2017 on the main crops of wheat, barley, maize, sunflower, soya, peas and rapeseed. During the analyzed period, there were tendencies of growth and decrease of agricultural productions and land areas, instability due mainly to climatic factors (drought, burning, excess humidity) but also technical-material endowments, technology, irrigation, genetic material, etc. The lack or insufficiency of precipitation leads to the variability of crops in Romanian agriculture.
