Evaluation of Mechanical Security of Regional Self-government Buildings

Abstract:

The paper discusses the position of mechanical means of restraint in the field of securing municipal buildings and their use. The paper points out the shortcomings in the security of protected objects in the area of perimeter and mantle protection. The aim of the paper is to propose general recommendations for securing the objects of regional self-government, especially in the field of perimeter protection. The recommendations are based on experimental testing of several types of mechanical barriers, the results and methodology of which are presented in the paper. From the tested barriers, the most suitable type for securing the selected objects is then selected. The benefit of the contribution is an increase in awareness of the security of public buildings and the subsequent effective use of funds by local governments to secure their property.
