Abstract:

The purpose of the paper was to assess the quality of the intermodal terminals in Poland. The essence of the operational quality of the technical objects being the intermodal terminals was justified. The next part of the paper defines the measures of the operational quality and the technical parameters of the Polish terminals. On this basis, the nominal parameters of the intermodal terminals were determined together with justification of these values. For the purposes of assessment of the potential of the terminals, the Servqual method modified by the authors was proposed. Its applicability is shown on the example of 38 Polish terminals with reference to 12 criteria based on the available characteristics. In this way, the possibility to differentiate the level of the operational quality of the terminals was confirmed.
