Evolution of the Romanian Trade with Agro-food products

Abstract:

This paper aimed to analyze recent evolution of the Romanian trade with agro-food products. Romania was a net importing country until 2013, when the trade balance gained a surplus for agro-food products, mainly due to trade in cereals and oilseeds. The results for a cumulative balance of agro-food products for the period 2007-2014 showed that for the studied period the biggest deficit was encountered in 2008, when worth 3,036,225.38 thousand $. The paper is based on specific trade indicators, and used data based national authorities.
