Abstract:
The concept of talent management (TM) has become one of the first priorities of businesses in the last decade and subject to theoretical models for many scholars. The importance of people with right competences to drive the competitive advantage of the companies is undoubtedly recognized, however, practices did not yet reach the expected level to be able to overcome an unexpected crisis as the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic created. The present study is highlighting the evolution of the TM concept and has a closer look at seven of the most discussed and applied TM frameworks in the last two decades, by identifying the common and new approaches. Furthermore, there were identified two possible solutions to sustain future development of the concept and its applicability. Aiming to have a base for TM concept research, we identified two possible solutions for its further development.
