Examining Interactional Justice and Employees’ Engagement in Nigeria’s Port Industry

Abstract:

This study focused on assessing the contributions of interactional justice on employee engagement. The sample for the study included 423 staff of the selected Ports in Nigeria. Multiple regression analysis was carried out to establish the contributions of interactional justice on employee engagement. The statistical results derived showed that interactional justice had significant effect on employees’ job engagement. Consequently, the study recommended that deliberate effort should be made to ensure that interactional justice is functional in its ideal state. The study also established that, organisations must be proactive in training leaders and ensuring that such trainings are fully utilised through periodic assessments.
