Abstract:
The Provincial Government of Aklan, aiming to improve rather than just maintain its active economy, has assigned its Management Information System Division to produce software solutions for process improvement to help uphold such goals. In addition, the analysis and design helps the division furnish a decision-making support tool fully meeting the requirements of the local chief executive. Since this project serves as groundwork for analysis and design, not all elements of the Structured Systems Analysis and Design Method were implemented. However vital parts of the model were covered to ensure a broad conceptualization of the projected information system for the intended user. A template based on the Bootstrap framework was used to build a web application interface for a prototype of the system. Different components of the application were imported through a text editor using Hyper Text Markup Language, Cascading Stylesheets and JavaScript. Along with the prototype, a fully-documented Systems Analysis and Design was generated as foundation for implementation.
