Abstract:
Tourism is one of the major sectors in the global economy. In the Czech Republic this sector has been experiencing a decline since the financial crisis and its share in the GDP declines. The tourism industry itself is growing, but more slowly compared to others sectors in the Czech Republic. An interesting emerging area that could support the growth of this sector is experience tourism. The market for products of experience tourism in the Czech Republic is growing and there are new products every year. The aim of the paper is to specify the sector of experience tourism and its current offerings in the Czech Republic. On the other hand, the goal is also to characterise consumer demand. A survey among consumers up to 26 years of age is used as the tool to illustrate demand in the Czech Republic. The survey helped to characterise the products in most demand, differences in the demands of men and women and consumers pricing options.
