Abstract:
Based on the empirical research within the area of opportunities exploitation, partial results of which were presented in this article, main assumptions of a hypothetical model for dealing with opportunities by interorganizational networks were identified. The considerations were based on: a) the results of classical organizations studies – not being the members of strategic business nets b) the research results analogy and the intuitive procedure, as well as the analysis of available research results in the field of strategic business nets. Subsequently, these assumptions were initially verified basing on the case study of a selected company from one of the strategic business nets categories. Attending observations and personal interviews with the owners and managers of the company were carried out in January 2018. Thus the main goal of this article is to present the results of research works, especially the potential of identifying and utilizing specific forms of opportunities by selected types of strategic business nets. Finally, based on the findings (both from the theoretical background and business practice – presented case study), research assumptions and hypotheses for the authors’ future studies were formulated.
