Exploring the Features of Health Organizations’ Competitive Strategies

Abstract:

This paper aims to shape a first picture on the type of competitive advantage targeted by Romanian health organizations, identify the typology of organizational strategies, according to the M. Porter's model, thus being the first step in investigating the Romanian health organizations' strategy-structure relationship. The first results of the online survey suggest that, overall, Romanian health organizations are inclined to adopt mainly differentiation strategies and, to a lesser extent, cost leadership.
