Exploring the Influence of Value Proposition Dimension of Business Innovative Model on Firms’ Structural Resilience: Empirical Evidence from SMEs in Nigeria

Abstract:

This study explored the influence of the value proposition dimension of the innovative business model on firms' structural resilience: empirical evidence from SMEs in Nigeria. The total of four hundred and twenty (420) SMEs operators were surveyed using purposive and convenient random sampling techniques. Only 371 copies of the questionnaire, which accounted for an 88.3% response rate, were correctly filled and returned. Smart PLS 3.0 was used for the analysis of the data collected. 

The findings revealed that the value proposition dimension of the innovative business model had a significant influence on firms’ structural resilience. This study contributes to the existing literature in business models firms’ resilience within the context of SMEs in a developing economy. The study concludes that the value proposition dimension of business innovation contribute significantly to the SMEs’ structural resilience
