Abstract:
The rationale behind this research is to determine the impact of employee’s Intellectual Capital (and its sub-facets: human, social and structural) on their work performance in higher education institutions of Pakistan. The study further assesses the mediating role of innovative capabilities in the above stated relationship between intellectual capital and work-based performance of employees. The data were acquired through tested survey questionnaire method from universities employees. Regression analysis was used to acquire the results. The results portray that intellectual capital has a positive impact on universities performance while minimum moderating role of innovative capabilities has been observed. The results are useful for management practitioners with few limitations.
