Abstract:

Any economic activity is inextricably linked with its information support. One of the key indicators of the efficiency of the economic system is the decision-making and information processing time, which reflects the effectiveness of the company. Characteristics of information systems have a significant effect on management of technologies and business processes of business entities. Production is one of the most complex spheres in terms of the volume of information and the requirements for the speed of decision-making. Any production process is implemented within the framework of resource, time and technical limitations, which imposes its requirements on its planning and management. This article presents the features of application of multi-agent technologies for performing the tasks of operational production planning and draws a comparison between the basic production planning methodologies. The present study highlights problems faced by companies implementing automated operational production planning and indicates the key advantages of using multi-agent technologies for meeting the tasks of planning and production dispatching.
