Abstract:

The article reveals the meaning of the concept of “student”, the age limits and its features; analyzes the social well-being of the young people as of the main indicator of social development; the views of scholars on studies of the peculiarities of student youth development. The article also investigates the social function of the student youth, which consists in preparing oneself for the fulfillment of specific professional and culture-ethical tasks, mainly of intellectual and managing character, as well as focuses on the features of social work with student youth.
