FFT and Chirp-Z Transforms as Methods of Determining Image Raster Parameters

Abstract:

The article presents the basic problem related to image reconstruction on the basis of revealing emission signals from sources processing data in graphic form. The issue concerns in particular the accuracy of determining the line length and the number of lines of the reconstructed image. These parameters can be determined on the basis of the spectral analysis of the recorded revealing emission signals. Nevertheless, the accuracy of their determination is of great importance in the possibility of further processing of the obtained image containing relevant data when the image has strong noise characteristics. The article presents two methods, the Fourier and Chirp-Z transforms, which allow to determine the parameters of the reproduced image with an indication of the directions for further research and analysis.
