Abstract:
The advocacy for work-life balance has amplified in recent years as a result of the recognition of its psychological impacts on employees. Researchers in this area have been aroused, but with little attention given to how it influences the financial performance of companies. The objective of this study is to ascertain the relationship between the financial performance of companies and the work-life balance of employees. A survey research design was adopted. 200 copies of questionnaires were administered to respondents using systematic sampling approach. The sample size was chosen by ranking banks in Nigeria based on their financial performance (measured by Return on Assets). The highest two and lowest two were chosen. Spearman rank correlation was used for analysis. The result revealed a significant relationship between financial performance of companies and work-life balance of the employees.
