Abstract:
The main purpose of this study is to examine the organization of the financial activity in the large Polish non-financial corporations (NFCs) in terms of the financialization. The paper examines the nature and forms of the financial activity. The study also tries to explain what determinants are influencing on the financial activity organization in Polish NFCs. The financialization phenomenon shows that most of large NFCs in developed countries formed and developed special, external units for the financial activity. Some of them had even organized own banks within finance and treasury departments. These activities have become outwardly directed. The paper reports the results from a survey mailed to large Polish NFCs. We describe mainly how the financial activity was organized at the second decade of 21st century as a result of the financialization. The findings confirmed that financialization did not significant impact on organization and forms of the financial activity in Polish NFCs.
