Abstract:

This paper presents the benefits and shortcomings of the fiscal adjustment in Romania during the crisis period. Moreover, this work outlines, in a comparative manner, the main macroeconomic effects of the large fiscal adjustments recorded during the last 30 years in EU, as well as viewpoints referring to the fiscal correction in Romania.
